PENGARUH LATIHAN BENCH DIP TERHADAP KETEPATAN SMASH PADA PEMAIN BOLA VOLI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

Background: Volleyball is a great ball game played by two squads. On the game volleyball has many techniques, one of them smash. Muscle strength plays an important role when doing smash, to produce a good smash and proper target strength arm muscle training required. One of the exercises to increase arm muscle strength is the Bench Dip exercise. The Bench Dip exercise is a moderate intensity exercise using your own body weight focusing on the muscles of the arms, shoulders and back. Smash precision aims to improve the performance of athletes in the game. Aim: To know the effect of Bench Dip exercise for precision smash at volley ball player of University Muhammadiyah Malang. Methods: Design in this reseach used pre experimental with one group pretest and posttest design.Respondent in this study at volley ball player in University of Muhammadiyah Malang were 35 respondent. The exercise is done with frequency 3 times within 4 weeks and the dose of exercise plus 2 sets each week. Result: The data calculation with Paired T test betweenthe signification p=0.000, (p < 0.05) then H0 rejected and H1 accepted.
