PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP SIKAP IBU DALAM MENANGANI KEJANG DEMAM PADA ANAK (Studi di RT 05/RW 07 Desa Bunut Wetan Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pakis Kabupaten Malang)

Background: Seizures febrile are the most common type of neurological disorder that usually found in children and occurs at 3 months to 5 years old due to a sudden increase in body temperature above 38o C. It usually causes anxiety and fear among parents, which have a minimal attitude in handling seizures febrile and need provision of health education. The study aims to determine the effect of health education on maternal attitudes in handling seizures febrile on children. Method: This study was conducted by means of experimental research design by using pre experimental type with one group pretest posttest as a research approach. The sampling techniques conducted by using purposive sampling and take 30 mothers of toddlers, then the data were analyzed by using McNemar test with significant α = 0.05. Result: The results showed that the attitude of mothers in handling seizures fever on children before medical education has a negative attitude was 8 people (26.7%) and a positive attitude was 22 people (73.3%). After medical education, all toddler mothers have experienced increase in positive attitudes in handling seizures febrile on children. The result of statistical test obtained significant data at 0.008 (0.008 & lt; 0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of medical education on mother's attitude in handling seizures fever in children. Based on the results of the study, expected that toddler mothers can find out how to handling seizures febrile on their children by find more information because if parents have a minimal attitude it will have a big impact on their children
