ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI STRUKTUR MODAL PADA PERUSAHAAN ASURANSI YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA (BEI)

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the capital structure of insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2012-2016. The research approach used in this research is quantitative. The sample consisted of 11 Insurance companies listed in IDX and selected by purposive sampling, the researcher had certain criteria such as, published the financial report consecutively during the study period and had the variables needed in the research. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression, t test and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that jointly tangibility, firm size, profitability and liquidity have significant positive effect on capital structure, with probability value 0,0000. While individually tangibility structure have significant positive effect to capital structure, with regression coefficient value equal to 10,1065 and probability value 0,0432. Firm size (firm size) has no significant effect on capital structure with regression coefficient value -0.7890 and probability value 0.1495. Profitability has a significant negative effect on capital structure with regression coefficient value -7,9588 and probability value 0,0102. Liquidity has no significant effect on capital structure with regression coefficient value -0.1707 and probability value 0,5763
