Background: The modern medicine for dyslipidemia consisted of several classes type medicine. However, there are also many alternative treatments to cure dyslipidemia such as using garlic bulbs and pare (bitter melon or also known also peria). This phenomenon is supported by several with in vivo studies. However, there is still no research that says which compounds of these two nutritious plants have the activities to overcome dyslipidemia and how the mechanism works.
