PREFERENSI REMAJA PEREMPUAN PADA KONTEN YOUTUBE CHANNEL DI KOTA MALANG (Studi pada SMA Laboratorium Kota Malang)

The presence of YouTube among female teenagers becomes an interesting phenomenon. The various preferences presented on YouTube channels can trigger a variety of problems to the users, especially among the younger ones. But it all goes back to each individual in responding and accepting the material watched. The theory used in this research is the theory of uses and gratifications. In this theory stated that media users use an active role to select and use the media. Media users are active parties in the communication process. Media users are trying to find a good source of media in fulfiling their needs. The theory uses and gratifications assume that the user has an alternative to satisfy their needs. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type, research that will describe, give exposure, or depiction of answers to research problems in detail such as in the research subject. In this research use interview technique with validity test of source triangulation. The results of this study revealed that YouTube presence among young women became an interesting phenomenon. This research states that each subject ie female high school studentss Laboratory prefer tutorial make up, vlog daily, culinary, and cover songs. Some of the content is content about entertaiment that preffered by adolescent girls because to ease the stresses that occur everyday.
