KEPENTINGAN AMERIKA SERIKAT MELALUI KEBIJAKAN ASIA PIVOT DI KAWASAN ASIA PASIFIK

The United State decide an Asia Pivot policy on November 2011. This policy has an action which is cooperation between United State and alliances, there are Australia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. This cooperation has some aspect, there are economy aspect, diplomacy aspect and security aspect. China do the same security cooperation with some nation in Asia region, so that’s why the United State decide this policy to make a balance with China’s power in Asia Pacific. This type of reasearch is eksplanation, with the qualitative analysis techniques. The focus of this research is the interest of United States through the Asia Pivot policy in Asia Pacific region by using geopolitical theory with adopting rimland area mapping by Spykman and alliance concept. By using the rimland mapping area of Spykman, Asia Pacific region was included in rimland area. Beside that, United State have a valuation of Asia Pacific region about the strategic area which has SLOC’s and SLOT. After get the result, United State give the action to represent itself to Asia Pacific region by do the cooperation with alliances. The outcome has been found that the interest of United State in Asia Pacific region by using Asia Pivot policy is to get the easy ways of commerce in South China Sea and strenghtened the United State power in Asia Pacific region
