PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM MELESTARIKAN EKSISTENSI BUDAYA TARI SEBLANG DI DESA OLEHSARI KECAMATAN GLAGAH KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI

In a particular society has a culture called local culture. Seblang as a local culture that uses mystical and mystical things many invite controversy in other communities. however, the villagers of Olehsari continue to participate in carrying out and preserving the ritual of Seblang. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach conducted in the village of Olehsari in February-June 2018, research instruments using observation, documentation and interviews with primary data sources and secondary data. This study uses data analysis techniques using the Miles Huberman theory that the data is analyzed qualitatively consisting of three flows of activities that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing, with data validity techniques in the form of degrees of trust, transfer, criteria for dependency and certainty. Results from this study showed that the involvement of the community is done actively and passively that participation is voluntary without any coercion from any party and the form of community participation includes three things: (1) participation in the form of thought, (2) participation in material form, and (3) participation in the form of labor. The supporting factor is the awareness and cohesiveness of the community as a whole coordinated by the village government. The inhibiting factor is horizontal conflict in the form of pros and cons in society
