IMPLEMENTASI REDUCING EMISSIONS FROM DEFORESTATION AND FOREST DEGRADATION PLUS (REDD+) DALAM PROYEK THE RIMBA RAYA BIODIVERSITY RESERVE DI KALIMANTAN TENGAH

This research elaborates the implementation of REDD+ in the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project, as well as the impact of the implementation onemission reduction rates, the potential threatsof biodiversity damage, and the development of local communities around the project area. This research uses the concept of international regime to frames REDD+ as an international environmental regime and also uses the concept of regime effectiveness to spell out the effectiveness of REDD+ seen through the 8 years achievements of the Rimba Raya’s Project. As for the method in this research is descriptive analytical, with data collection techniques through literature studies. The result of this research found that the implementation of the sixth component of REDD+ has been implemented by The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve has been provided a positive impact towards forest conservation, biodiversity and raising the productivity of the local communities. This indicates the effectiveness of the international regime in the field of environment
