Generally, a house residents has routines that is performed manually, such as turning on the house lights and monitors the condition of the house. A smart home system can be utilized to facilitate the issues. Smart home is a system where a home or a building has an automation system in it in order to provide control, comfort, safety and energy savings, which takes place automatically or in accordance with the wishes of users of the system. This research designed a prototype of a smart home hardware system that includes control of door locks, lamp dimmers, electrical switches along with a wattage sensor, infrared based device controls and camera systems. All of those components are connected to a local server via the WiFi by a WiFi microcontroller module ESP8266 ESP-12F type using the HTTP protocol.
