IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA JAWA KELAS 5 DI SDNLOWOKWARU 3 KOT AMALANG

The symptoms of moral decline and the weakening of character education are already evident in today's life. Character education is one form of government policy that aims to improve the quality of character in learners. To improve the character quality of learners, SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang often hold a race related to the Java language with the theme of character education. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementation of character education in learning Java Language Class 5 in SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang, about the value of characters implemented in learning Java Language Class 5 in SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang, and about the efforts made to overcome difficulties in implementation character education in Javanese Language learning grade 5 in SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive with descriptive approach. Sources of data used in this study are interview guides, observation guidelines, and documentation from principals, classroom teachers, and 5th grade students at SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang. Researchers describe the results of research in the form of words. Data analysis used by researchers is Miles and Huberman model. Test data validity using technique triangulation and source triangulation. The results showed that: (1) SDN Lowokwaru 3 Malang had implemented character education in learning Javanese Language through planning, process, and learning assessment. (2) The five character values implemented are religious, nationalist, integrity, independent, and mutual cooperation. (3) The efforts made by the teacher are realized by always trying to be an example for students, giving equal attention to all students, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, giving examples of good and true Javanese language, and practicing students' patience
