Previous studies showed relationship of vitamin D deliciency with obesity. This study was based on observation of food intake containing vitamin D with BMI geriatric pa1ients in Sidoarjo, East Java. We used case control design with semi quantitative questionnaire. Eightythree obese geriatric patients and 83 non-obese geriatric patients (4.82% thin. 81.34% normal. and 10.84% at risk) were observed. Sampling technique was random sampling (non-probability sampling) with purposive sampling method and tested by using Chi square.
