Análisis bibliométrico. Citas, ediciones, traducciones

One of the most precise systems to assest the impact and influence of an academic work is to analyze the references that it has generated and been collected by citations indexes (such as Web of Science, Scopus or Google Scholar). The aim of the study is to analyze 9,150 works that have cited the book "Communication, Culture and Hegemony: From the Media to the Mediations" by Jesús Martín Barbero in Google Scholar (the most appropriated for the field of Humanities and Social sciences of the three mentioned above). A bibliometric study of these 9,150 citations is carried out to provide clues about who the citing authors are, years of publication, languages, the journal where they have been published or the most common type of citing document (journal article, book, theses, congresses, etc.), among other indicators
