This paper focuses on the comparative study of different Torque Sharing Functions (TSFs) (cosine, exponential and piecewise cubic) and the Firing Angle (FA) control methods for Switched Reluctance Machines (SRMs) taking into account different current regulation approaches. A 750W 8/6 SRM is considered. The phase currents and the instantaneous torque are studied in cases of a PWM current control or a hysteresiscurrent control and with either using soft or hard chopping. The experimental results show the effective solution to reduce the torque ripple.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
