In organic potato cultivation, late blight (Phytophthora infestans) can cause significant losses. Often, the use of copper is necessary, which is limited in organic farming. Öko-SIMPHYT is a decision support system for the termination of copper spraying and the quantity of copper needed. First, you have to provide your exact location, the potato variety, the planting density, the condition of the plants and the recent amount of precipitation. Based on that, the tool presents appropriate recommendations. First, you get a recommended start of treatment. Second, the tool gives a recommendation for the treatment interval, the quantity needed and a possible treatment break as well as a prediction for the risk of infection.
