Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the most common form of dementia. Considering the aging population, AD will be one of the challenging problems of the public health in the near future. Current medication used for AD can only alleviate the symptoms temporarily; therefore it is imperative to identify new therapeutic targets to prevent the progression of the disease.
