Modeling and computational tools are proven to be extremely successful in streamlining the design and engineering of different systems in many areas of science and engineering. However, due to its complex nature, modeling in biology is in an early stage and many more years of development is required to achieve the level of confidence that exists today on software packages like SOLIDWORKS suite and COMSOL on models in biology.
