Triacylglycerols (TAG) are the major storage lipids found in the developing seeds, petals, pollen grains, and fruits of plants. In Arabidopsis seeds, acyl-CoA: diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1) is the major enzyme contributing to TAG biosynthesis.
