STEP Category: InternshipsDuring the summer of 2018, myself and several close friends worked together in Warsaw, Poland at the Institute of Aviation. While there, I researched a new method of jet engine design, boundary layer ingestion. For this project, I designed an inlet distortion gauze for our test rig, modeled it, and performed CFD on the test environment to check for safe conditions. By doing so, I learned many new skills and software while fostering strong relationships with many international citizens. Outside of work, I travelled to 14 cities across Europe and seven inside Poland.
