Results of conventional treatment modalities in advanced thyroid cancer have been disappointing and therefore, new therapies are needed. METHODS: We searched PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Medline and EMBASE databases and abstracts published in annual proceedings for new treatment modalities in advanced thyroid cancer.
