This research aims to explore Egyptian undergraduate nursing students' perceptions of working with mentally ill patients and to explore factors that influence student nurses' perceptions of mental health nursing. The study took place at the school of nursing in Cairo University. The research approach for the study is qualitative and descriptive since it aims to explore opinions and perceptions of participants and describe meanings about researched topic (Creswell 2014, Willing 2013, Hancock et al 2009).
