A lecture by University of Cumbria Visiting Professor of Conservation Biology, Owen Nevin. Professor Nevin will draw on his career-long work with brown bears and other large carnivores to show that, while challenging, study and protection of these charismatic carnivores can lead to enhanced understanding and ecosystem wide conservation outcomes. This event from the department of Science, Natural Resources and Outdoor Studies will focus on conservation planning and priorities. This event will be of special interest to those involved in conservation and land management, but it will also be suitable for a general interest audience
