Person-centred care is not so much a specific and prescriptive model that organises care for an individual person, as an approach to nursing care. There is potential for person-centredness in almost every interaction between you and your patients. As a philosophy of care, it promotes respect, shared decision making, empowerment and enablement, and respect for autonomy.
