An investigation of shear and elongation flow properties of kaolin suspensions was presented. The kaolin used in the investigation was a very fine polydisperse paper coating grade kaolin and contained approximately 98% of the mineral kaolinite which was very low in organic matter. The results showed that shear thickening and elongation thickening was present for all suspensions
