This study deals with heat transport in crystalline nanostructured silicon and the impact of amorphization. The thermal conductivity of various nanostructures is computed with two numerical methods: Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo resolution of the Boltzmann transport equation. First, materials with spherical nanopores are investigated and the importance of the surface density is highlighted. Then, nanofilms with periodic cylindrical pores, often called phononic crystals, are studied. The density of states computed with Molecular Dynamics does not show major modifications of the heat carriers (phonons) properties.
