Owing to its rarity, most clinicians are unfamiliar with the clinical aspects and management of UPSC. Furthermore, little prospective evidence exists regarding how best to treat this subset of patients. In anticipation of prospective clinical trials, this article summarizes the latest results of various clinical management options in the different substages of UPSC, with a special focus on the effects of cytoreductive surgery, comprehensive surgical staging and different adjuvant treatment options in relation to recurrence rate and survival outcome
