Título Uniforme Musical: uma proposta fundamentada de Regras para a sua construção e aplicação

The Musical Uniform Title is one of the most important instruments of organization of the catalog and is designed to identify a work clearly and unequivocally, regardless of how it may be identified in the documents, and associate it univocally with an author. It allows you to gather manuscripts or published works at different times, in different editions, in different languages and in different formats. There is no international standard for the construction of uniform musical titles. However, they are advocated in most national cataloging rules, often adapted from the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules. This paper presents a proposal for rules for the construction of Musical Uniform Title as well as some supporting tools, in the end of the paper
