Estrategias ambientales y reportes de sostenibilidad en empresas petroleras

This monograph sought to identify the environmental strategy of 5 oil companies (Gran Tierra, Canacol Energy, Mansarovar, Ecopetrol and Hocol) based on the GRI sustainability reports and the information contained in the web pages of each of them. The investigation addressed the environmental deterioration that the oil industry has caused on the different environmental factors (air, land and water) and the responsibility of the companies to assume the consequences of their activities. From the sustainability reports, the mission and vision of each of the companies were identified, in order to identify the contemplation of the environmental strategies registered in these management commitments and if they corresponded with those defined in their sustainability reports.La presente monografía buscó identificar la estrategia ambiental de 5 empresas petroleras (Gran Tierra, Canacol Energy, Mansarovar, Ecopetrol y Hocol) a partir de los informes de sostenibilidad GRI y la información contenida en las páginas web de cada una de ellas. La investigación abordó el deterioro ambiental que la industria del petróleo ha causado sobre los diferentes factores ambientales (aire, tierra y agua) y la responsabilidad de las empresas para asumir las consecuencias de sus actividades. Desde las memorias de sostenibilidad se identificaron la misión y la visión de cada una de las compañías, con la finalidad de identificar la contemplación de las estrategias ambientales registradas en estos compromisos gerenciales y si correspondían con las definidas en sus informes de sostenibilidad
