The management of articular cartilage lesions is one of the weighty challenges for orthopaedic surgeons. The use of mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) has demonstrated as an alternative cell source for cartilage repair due to their multilineage differentiation potential and hypoimmunogenic properties.
