Mapping Murky Waters: Describing Content and Techniques in Student Supervision

This paper describes an exploratory study designed to develop descriptive categories of supervisory behaviours and content in formal one-to-one supervisory sessions. These categories are used as tools to measure supervisory practice across fields and methods. The results are discussed and some implications for practice are made
