Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a chronic liver disorder, resulting from exceeding fat cumulating in the liver .Adiponectin, a protein secreted from the adipose tissue, reduces liver inflammation. In this study, the relationship between adiponectin rs17300539 gene polymorphism and a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease was investigated. Materials and Methods: This case-control study was conducted on 80 subjects with NAFLD and 80 healthy subjects.
