MasterPure formic acid was successfully produced in CO2 hydrogenation over Carbon nanotube/GR (CNT-GR) supported Pd-based catalysts under mild reaction conditions (50 bar, 40oC) and in water as an eco-friendly solvent. The reaction temperature and pressure have great impact on both reaction reactivity and formic yield. Also, alloying palladium with second metals offers a significant improvement in the hydrogenation of CO2 into formic acid. The highest formic acid yield was obtained as 1.92 mmol with selectivity of 99% by using CNT-GR supported 2.4 at% Pd3Ni7 catalyst. The CNT-GR composite has been proved to be a great support for metal nanoparticles with highly uniform and small particle size (~4 nm) as well as excellent stability
