El Período Formativo en Potosí y el sur de Bolivia: un estado de la cuestión

International audienceThe period located roughly between ca. 2000 B.C. and A.D. 400, it is known in the Andes as Formative Period. It is characterized by the emergence of the first communities with ceramic of agriculturists, pastoralists or fishermen, and the bloom in the first ways of religious and political organizations. The southern regions of Potosi, in the south of Bolivia, present several places that correspond w this time and that were recently studied. In this paper, I present the characteristics of occupation of this great area during the Formative Period, standing out the seulement pattern of the main sites and the type of interaction that it could have existed with the outlying areas.El periodo comprendido entre ca: 2000 a.C. y 400 d. C., se conoce en los Andes como Periodo Formativo. Se caracteriza por el nacimiento de las primeras comunidades agroalfareras, de ga-naderos o pescadores y el florecimiento de las primeras formas de organizaciones religiosas y poltticas. Las regiones meridionales de Potost, en el sur de Bolivia, presentan varios sitios que corresponden a esta época y que recientemente fueron estudiados. En este ensayo, presentamos las caractertsticas de ocupacidn de esta gran drea durante el Periodo Formativo, poniendo de relieve el patrén de asentamiento de los principales sitios y el tipo de interaccidn que pudo existir con las zonas periféricas
