Se realizaron simulaciones del flujo a través de medios porosos 2D utilizando el método de Lattice-Boltzmann. Se estudió la relación que existe entre la porosidad y la permeabilidad, que son parámetros importantes para caracterizar un medio poroso. Se ha demostrado que el de Lattice-Boltzmann es un método adecuado para resolver la ecuación de Navier-Stokes incompresible. Dado el carácter local del método, es adecuado para condiciones de contorno de geometría compleja. Los medios porosos usados en estas simulaciones están constituidos por obstáculos de tamaño uniforme. Se encontró que el parámetro relevante que controla la permeabilidad, en estas condiciones es la distancia media entre obstáculos, lo que resulta un aporte original al tema.Th...
