Philanthropy, Faith, and Influence: Documenting Protestant Missionary Activism during the Armenian Genocide

American Protestant missionaries played important political and cultural roles in the late Ottoman Empire in the period before, during, and after the Armenian genocide. They reported on events as they unfolded and were instrumental coordinating and executing relief efforts by Western governments and charities.
