This work, titled "Yarkhushta," is another work written by the composer, and based on ancient Armenian folk songs. The "Yarkhushta" is traditionally known as a war song found in western Armenia, and believed to be more than two millennia old. This piano adaptation was created to echo the elements of the melody, as well as the sound of ancient horns and drones. Several other works by the composer, based on ancient Armenian folk songs, will be available on this site, including Kochari (for solo piano)
