This thesis analyses how participatory co-design workshops can best be applied in the product development of a new digital service that has already been introduced to the market. The empirical data of the study were collected in a series of workshops designed and organised for this purpose. The workshops comprised a case study intended to develop and improve the food sharing service Neighbourfood. The idea of the NeighbourFood app is to offer private persons a platform over which they can sell foodstuff or portions of food to other users of the service.
