Strain gauge sensors provides an excellent accuracy and a very high long-term stability for the measure of several physical quantities. It has over the years been of great benefit across many fields of Engineering and Sciences and in various industries. This project work examines the implementation of strain gauge sensor in general with emphasis on bending strain. This includes the classification and types of strain gauge, the different configuration of circuit and the principle of operation, and the material and surface preparation for the mounting of the strain gauge sensor
