The purpose of the study was to determine the factor that influence employee motivation and its im-pact on employee performance; case study of Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj. The study was con-ducted by reviewing theories associated with motivation. The research focuses on exploring variables that drive employees’ motivation, thus, the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence employee mo-tivation at the case company were examined. A descriptive research design was adopted, with Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj being the case company. The population of the study were employees of Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj since this is the organization under study.
