Computational Grid requires interoperable Grid agent middleware in order to interact with scientific instruments and sensors. Robust interaction among Grid applications and instruments or sensors can be achieved by a set of message sequences forming a communication protocol by a Grid agent middleware. A Grid agent wishing to interact with a large number of heterogeneous instruments or sensors that can get modified in times does not need to have detailed knowledge of how to interact with any instruments or sensors services.
