Development of a proposal for the treatment of wastewater from the fruit production process of the company Alimentos SAS S.A.S.

To achieve the development of a proposal for the treatment of wastewater from the process of production of fruit pulps of the company Alimentos SAS SAS, different experimental analyzes were carried out, led by the homogenization of the residual water and the characterization of this, by means of a profile of solids, COD, BOD, and physical characteristics such as odor, color, pH and conductivity. After obtaining a general characterization of the residual water from the process, tests are carried out for pretreatment, that is, roughing and homogenization and as a primary coagulation-flocculation treatment. For this, different types of filters are tested by means of supports with PVC tubes with different filter materials and the one with the greatest reduction in solids, COD, BOD, color, odor, pH and conductivity is chosen. After having carried out the test with the best filter, we continue to choose the best coagulant and / or flocculant for the process, having different bibliographical references of similar projects to the present work, selecting some chemicals such as aluminum sulphate, aluminum polychloride, asefloc , anionic polymer, ferric chloride and aluminum polychloride, where the most reduction is chosen in color, odor and conductivity, leading to final COD and BOD determination and thus having a comparison of initial values in the initial characterization and a final value after coagulant and / or flocculant..Para lograr el desarrollo de una propuesta para el tratamiento de aguas residuales proveniente del proceso de producción de pulpas de fruta de la empresa Alimentos SAS S.A.S se realizaron diferentes análisis experimentales, encabezados por la homogeneización del agua residual y la caracterización de esta, por medio de un perfil de sólidos, DQO, DBO, y caracteres físicos como olor, color, pH y conductividad. Después de obtener una caracterización general del agua residual proveniente del proceso, se realizan pruebas para pretratamiento, es decir desbaste y homogeneización y como tratamiento primario coagulación- floculación. Para esto, se prueban diferentes tipos de filtros por medio de soportes con tubos de PVC con diferentes materiales filtrantes y se escoge la que tenga una mayor reducción de sólidos, DQO, DBO, color, olor, pH y conductividad. Después de haber realizado la prueba con el mejor filtro, se prosigue a escoger el mejor coagulante y/o floculante para el proceso, teniendo diferentes referencias bibliográficas de proyectos similares al presente trabajo, seleccionando algunos químicos como sulfato de aluminio, policloruro de aluminio, asefloc, polímero aniónico, cloruro férrico y policloruro de aluminio, donde se escoge el que mayor reducción tenga en color, olor y conductividad, llevando a determinación de DQO y DBO final y así teniendo una comparación de valores iniciales en la caracterización inicial y un valor final posterior al coagulante y/o floculante.Alimentos SAS S.A.
