International audienceOxidation kinetics of Titanium by water vapour in the temperature range 750-1000°C have been investigated by means of thermogravimetry completed bymicrometric study in order to follow the thickness of the different oxidation scales, i.e. an outer porous rutile scale and an ordered phase TiOx close to the remainig metal.It is shown that the reaction is well described by a paralinear model involving first oxygen diffusion - dissolution into the metal (parabolic), then rutile growth (linear) which is controlled by the inter facial TiOx/TiO2 reaction
