Morphology of water-soluble interpolyelectrolyte complexes (IPEC) formed by poly(2-vinylpyridinium) -block-poly(ethylene oxide) diblocks and poly(4-styrenesulfonate) polyanions was investigated using transmission electron microscopy. The transition from spherical morphology to rodlike one was controlled by stretching of IPECs. The supramolecular self-assembly for IPEC micelles was reported and it was shown that IPEC could be used in biomedical applications
