This dissertation is a partial and commented translation of Mimi Marinucci’s book Feminism is Queer. The intimate connection between queer and feminist theory. Firstly, the English-language introduction focuses on sex, sexuality and gender, and analyses the binarity of gender and how it is challenged. In brief, it is mainly about the way the bicategorisation of woman/man, female/male and homosexual/heterosexual is challenged in contemporary Western society. Secondly, I decided to translate the five first chapters, which address sex and sexuality, their social construction and their relation to the binary categorisation of society.
