In the global energy context, the use of renewable energy will become more and more predominating. One of the most mature technologies we have at our disposal is wind turbines. The optimisation of wind turbine controllers requires some plug and play systems in order to test new control ways. This experimental master thesis continues the work of others in order to develop a test bench of electrical machines. It contains a complete description of the control of a permanent magnet synchronous machine, starting from the machine equations and introducing the right mathematical tools in order to develop a robust field oriented control.
