Cette recherche a pour objectif d’analyser une réponse institutionnelle adoptée pour faire face à la sous-représentation des femmes en politique, la loi de quota de genre sur les listes de candidats. L'Amérique du Sud a joué un rôle pionnier, étant le premier continent où une telle mesure a été adoptée, et présente depuis la plus grande augmentation de la représentation féminine moyenne dans ses Parlements nationaux. Cependant, malgré des contextes très similaires, les pays d'Amérique du Sud exhibent des résultats contrastés.
