This doctoral dissertation aims at analyzing the effects of a specific program on both teaching practices and the development of related reading and writing skills of informative texts required to succeed in school. Focusing on the metacognitive and learning strategy, Lirécrire pour apprendre relies on a threefold analysis of teachers’ practices, of the understanding of texts and of students’ difficulties in secondary school. The three studies presented in this doctoral dissertation are based on the result of experimental research “Lirécrire”.
