The main objective of this thesis was to explore the determinants of malaria burden among children under five years old in Burkina Faso through the analysis of: i) spatial heterogeneity of malaria infection, ii) spatial heterogeneity of Paracheck® rapid diagnostic test (RDT performance,and iii) geographic disparities in coverage of malaria vector control interventions.Community based survey data, health management information systems data, climatic and environmental data were combined first and then submitted to spatial statistical analyses.
