This thesis questions the acquisition of professional ethics during a three-year long teacher training in Belgium. After exploring the main concepts related to professional ethics, the study focuses on the contribution of developmental psychology to the question. An empirical research based on a dual approach (quantitative and qualitative) implements original measurement tools, proposing a neo-kohlbergian interpretation of what teacher ethics is. A selection of professional ethics indicators, measured at the beginning and at the end of the training, as well as self-confrontation interviews during the internships, led to the conclusion that teacher training seems to have moderate impact on professional ethics.
