Introduction: the objective of this study was to analyzethe behavior of the temperature, velocity and heat flowin the ventilation duct of three brake disc designs usingcomputational fluid dynamics (CFD). Methods: thedesign software SolidWorks was used for the analysis. Thethree disc designs differed in geometry and application.The numerical results for the flow of heat through theventilation channels were compared with mathematicallyobtained results. Results: the numerical results showedthat the discs performed well under severe operatingconditions (80 Km/h and an ambient temperature of22°C).
