El presente estudio tiene por objeto la síntesis de materiales geopolimericos a partir de una ceniza volante de origen colombiano (FA) cuyas características fisicoquímicas no son aptas para su utilización como adición puzolánica en la producción de concretos, particularmente por su alto nivel de perdida al fuego (14,8%). Se evaluó diferentes condiciones de activación de la ceniza volante mediante el ajuste de los módulos totales de SiO2/Al2O3 y Na2O/SiO2, así como el efecto de la incorporación de dos diferentes tipos de fuentes de calcio; una escoria granulada de alto horno (GBFS) y un cemento Portland tipo I (OPC).
